Sustainable Packaging

Sustainability should be more than just a magic word; we all must act upon it.  At SP we want to help our customers to reduce unnecessary packaging and switch to more sustainable materials. Handing you  the tools to incorporate packaging into your own sustainability agenda.

At SP we focus on R(ecycled)PET and on Washable Paper. We think these are the most suitable sustainable materials for our customers and markets.

RPET is mostly made out of recovered PET bottles. Cleaned, shredded and turned into pellets for further processing like stitch bonded or nylon-style fabrics. Soft to the touch, but very strong and eventually recyclable again. Up to some 27 times! For that reason we produce our RPET packaging with all components in RPET: handles, stitching yarns and zipper. This makes for easy recycling and easy acceptance by recycling stations.

Our Washable Paper is made of FSC approved wood, turned into cellulose fibers, turned into paper rolls and sheets. It is very strong and durable, water resisting and: Washable! The leather look and soft touch hands it a luxury appeal, which will only increase during use. Eventually it can be recycled as paper, closing the sustainability circle again.

Looking for  clear display bags? SP’s SPEVA-material is the best alternative: REACH conform, non-PVC, very transparent, yet very strong and durable. It will keep your products undamaged after production, in store and into your consumer’s home. This reduces rejections throughout the supply-chain, contributing to your sustainability goals (and cost reduction targets….). SPEVA is also available with 30% recycled material, making it even more sustainable.
